Brenna Marie, who was previously known as "Baby H", entered this world on November 5th, 2016. A precious little baby girl, who was only eight days old during her first portrait session, was as lively and energetic as 8 day old babies come. You can tell little Brenna didn't want to miss anything in this new world of sounds, scents, and colors.
Fall, especially in Cleveland, is my favorite season of the year. This year's Fall weather treated us to some amazingly warm and beautiful days. Sunday, November 6th, was one of many warm Fall days. November rain? Not this year! Meet the Bibbo Family. John, Lisa, Jayden, Cameron, Taylor, and Cooper met me in the Brecksville reservation for their first group of photos.
The world is waiting for the arrival of little baby H, code name for a cute little baby girl that will make her grand entrance into this world in late October/early November. I've know Alicia and Hans for a couple of years now and little baby H will be their first child. Having the chance to document the beginning of a beautiful new life is one of many reasons why I love photography. The portrait session began in Baby H's new baby room and the light being filtered through a window blind was simply amazing.
Live Nation hosted three bands at Jacobs Pavilion on Friday May 30, 2015. The weather couldn't have been any better Friday evening with clear skies and temperatures hovering in the mid 70's. Chris Carrabba, lead singer of Dashboard Confessional, treated some fans with an excellent vocal and acoustic performance in a VIP tent just past the entrance of Jacobs Pavilion. Augustana, based in San Diego and is best known for their song "Boston", opened the night. Dashboard Confessional took the stage at 7:40pm and played to a few thousand fans until 8:50pm where Chris Carrabba made his exit by walking through a crowd exchanging high fives with fans. By the time Third Eye Blind took the stage at 9:20pm, Jacobs Pavilion was packed with fans in the pit area as well as every seat in the stands.
Spring has finally arrived and the first week of May didn't let anyone down. Sunny and partially overcast skies with temperatures in the mid seventies is a great start to Spring. The first weekend of May was especially special for a little girl making her First Communion. Cassidy, who is extremely camera friendly and has a personality the size of the Sun, put on her beautiful First Communion dress and displayed her cute little smile for the camera.
If you're looking for a weekend getaway that will take you to, in my opinion, Ohio's most beautiful State Park, Whitetail Ridge Cabins is where you want to make your home base destination. Located about 15-20 minutes away from all of Hocking Hill's scenic park attractions, Whitetail Ridge Cabins places you far enough away from tourist traffic while keeping you within a short drive of one of Ohio's most scenic State Parks. Whitetail Ridge has four beautiful cabins that include an indoor fireplace; brand new 4-person hot tubs; a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, and a full selection of utensils; beautiful hardwood floors with modern decor in every room; an outdoor fire pit with benches; excellent cell phone service (I use Verizon) and free wifi for those that need to keep in touch with the digital world.
House of Blues Cleveland kicked off their first Local Brews Local Grooves Music Festival on Saturday, February 28. The event drew a few thousand guests who enjoyed live music from 14 local bands; craft beer from a dozen local breweries; and eight food stations distributed throughout the venue space at the House of Blues. Doors opened at 4pm and the music and fun times proceeded on until the 10pm closing time.
If you live anywhere in the Northeast United States, you already know that February is the perfect month to escape bone chilling winter temperatures and live in the tropics for at least a week. My wife and I received our first passports back in 2005 and it's been exactly 10 years since the last time we used them to visit another part of this world. Flying to the Dominican Republic in mid-February couldn't have come at a better time.

Manakiki, whose name is believed to be a Native American word for maple forest, was the scenic setting for Amy and James’ September wedding. Fall was in the air as family and friends gathered for the intimate wedding outside, near the historic Hanna Mansion. Afterwards, everybody gathered on the deck of the beautiful mansion for a short reception, while Amy and James’ ventured off for some photography as the skies cleared and a golden sun appeared. Later the festivities moved into the beautiful ballroom where everybody spent the evening enjoying food, company and dancing, as well as the largest cupcake tree this side of the Mississippi.
The beautiful country setting in Hunting Valley of Tabitha Bowen's parents, Gail and Richard, was the start of a wonderful wedding day for Tabitha and Martin. Family and friends gathered at the home for a pre-wedding brunch and family photos. Tabitha and Martin then saw each other for their first look in the forest-like backyard where they shared a few quiet moments together before another round of family photos.
Whether you're a kid or an adult, summer birthday parties are always fun. Ava and Davis celebrated their 3rd birthday with family and friends on a beautiful summer day in August. Warm sunshine, a refreshing breeze, balloons, games, family, friends, cake and ice cream all complimented each other as perfect ingredients for a great birthday party. Aunt Sabrina brought the food, decorations and games to the party while other family members brought warm laughs and good spirits. To be a kid again. Happy birthday Ava and Davis!
My Uncle Bob and Aunt Marge organized a McDonald Family Reunion at Mohican State Park on Friday July 11th, 2014. July is a busy month and not all could make it to the reunion but it was nice to see those that made it from my family on a beautiful July day. I use to always go camping with my parents as a child and over the years I simply forgot on how fun it is to go camping. Camp fires, fishing, s'mores, barbecues, bike rides, hiking, kayaking, you name it...I miss it.
Over 5000 images processed in 30 days. Yes, for family and friends who thought I took refuge in a cave you were almost correct (my office is my cave). This video includes a handful of images that were either photographed and/or processed over the past 30 days. If you're new to my work you'll notice that I photograph a variety of jobs. Weddings, high school seniors, and commercial work make up 80% of my services. If you like what you see, contact Dale at firstname.lastname@example.org for scheduling and pricing.
Kim and David asked me to photograph a big party that they were planning at the beginning of June and how could I resist? David happens to be my nephew and Kim, as of June 6th 2014, is my new niece. It doesn't seem like it's been too long since David marched out of his home as a toddler with a few dollars in hand to buy a treasure chest of candy at the candy shop right down the street from where he lived. I think he just got off from being grounded that day for his irresistible love of candy but apparently all is well. On June 6th, 2014, David marched on to the United Methodist Church in North Olmsted to marry the real love of his live, Kim. Sorry candy, you've been demoted to #2.
The end of May not only offered blue skies and pleasant temperatures, but it also ended up being the perfect day in so many ways for Kelly and Don. The day started out at the Double Tree Tudor Arms Hotel on Carnegie Ave, located about a mile from Littly Italy and the Botanical Gardens. David photographed Kelly and the bridesmaids while I (Dale) photographed Don and his groomsmen getting ready for the big day. Don and his groomsmen boarded Lolly the Trolley at 1pm and headed to the ceremony at the Botanical Gardens in Cleveland, Ohio. Kelly and her bridesmaids took the next trolley to the Botanical Gardens and the day was on its way.
Event Source's 35 year anniversary celebration took place at Cibrèo Privato, located on Euclid Avenue across the street from Playhouse Square. Everyone met in a private bar located at the back of the restaurant for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner was held in a separate room (between the restaurant and back bar) that I believe use to be used as a theater at one time. Rock the House Entertainment Group (RTH) filled the room with music and ambient lighting.
Spring showers bring May weddings (and flowers as well). Kelly and Donnie will be newly weds on May 31st, 2014. Following their wedding they'll be moving to New Orleans to not only kick off a new life together but also to start new careers in The Big Easy.
With 90 plus local business making up well over 100 members, the International Special Events Society (ISES) Cleveland Chapter celebrated another successful networking event at the 2014 Wine Tasting. Event Source hosted the wine tasting event in their 71,000 square foot display room and warehouse building that's located in the Sweet Valley Industrial Parkway in Valley View Ohio.
Kim and David celebrated their bridal shower on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Bain Cabin in Fairview Park on April 6th. The days are growing longer but don't tell Kim and David that line. Their wedding day is coming up quick and they'll be celebrating a new chapter of their lives together with friends and family on Friday, June 6th 2014.
